Carter was called to serve as Senior Pastor on June 13, 2021. Carter grew up at Hopewell and returned in June of 2016. He graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a B. A. in History and is currently working on a Master’s of Divinity from Southeastern Seminary. His hobbies include sports, woodworking, and reading.
Carter and his wife, Amber have five sons, Rex (7), Bowe ( 5.5 ),
Burns ( 3.5 ), Walt (2), and Baby Boy Gray was born May 21, 2025.
